hi BBB #160. Diego had a role in a film that opens I believe this week or next. I think the title is Lavender. I have no idea when it was filmed (still looking into it) but I wonder whether his role on TBL was lightened temporarily to accommodate this. I really don't know, its just a guess. Could be they filmed during the summer and its not related at all.
Re Kaplan I actually think (albeit her short appearance in the last few episodes) she has overall had more of a presence this season since ep. 4.01. In prior seasons I think she could entirely disappear for multiple episodes. Or maybe I am mis-rembering that.
I get the sense that they are trying to pack in a lot into each of these first 8 episodes, it may just be a function of that and not being able to explore everyone's story. They may not have time in each episode, or maybe it would further fragment the overall story too much.
Just a thought. I'd be happier with a 2 hour finale to more easily tie up various loose ends, LOL!
I also hope that they don't lose sight of the overall world spy story, and what about what is going to happen in 2017? maybe that will be the focus after the fall finale

I also hope they re-focus on the great world spy story they started to tell - and less "Who Shot J.R. Dallas soap opera nonsense". I suspect if they cross the bridge into too much soap-telling that Spader may decide to exit....
Hope I'm wrong - cuz I hate soap operas like the plague!
P.S. Ryan Eggold will hate me for this but perhaps they can pack the soap opera stuff on TBS - aka Tom's Blacklist Spin-Off

my final thought on this episode:
What if this plan by Kirk is one huge con to get his ultimate revenge on Red? What if he is not Liz's father, and he knows it. Red may or may not know what Kirk knows.
The only person Kirk has referenced Liz as his daughter to is his creepy assistant, and what if that was just a reference to keeping up appearances? His assistant referenced "sowing seeds of doubt" in Masha having started to work, something like that. Sounds more like a plan to turn her, rather than re-unite with her.
The baby on the ledge may or may not have been staged, or maybe he just flipped when he saw that Red was not killed in his trap.
I feel like there is something deeper between Kirk and Red than we know...
Just a theory!

lara1, #164,
I am glad you brought that up. It has bugged me all week. That statement can be taken a few different ways.
I guess we will find out soon.
(creepy assistant) Good way of putting it.

When an attractive actress can legitimately play "creepy" she's an excellent actress. Other than look bit "Kardashian".
