Red's scar?

LoveRed just tweeted this image which none of us ever noticed. It appears there's a scar on Spader/Red's neck under the jaw. I've never noticed it on James before, have any of you?

LoveRed tweeted this to Zee Hatley to see if it's what Jon Bokenkamp likes to call an "Easter egg"

What do you think?
(sorry, I can't get the image smaller)

Re: Red's scar?

Is this from the last episode? I need context!

Re: Red's scar?

Could be from where Liz jammed a pen in his neck? Only I just watched that clip and the scar would need to be on the other side. Womp womp!

Oh and UP high on his neck...

Re: Red's scar?

What a catch! I've never seen that scar before and have been watching for scars since the pilot (being a fan of the Red is not Red theory). I've always wondered about what look like faint reddish scars that run straight down from Red's ears. Are these Red's or Spader's?

Colleen - I've always wondered about those red mark's you refer to. Are they plastic surgery scars, or something else? I don't think they're Spader's, because I've looked carefully at his neck when he appears on the talk shows and they don't show up. Of course, if they are his, he may have makeup covering them then.

Re: Red's scar?

Here's another Blacklist close up of Red/Spader without a scar.

Re: Red's scar?

Well, I just hope that there aren't two Reds and 2 Kaplans. I love complex plots but that might put me over the edge.  Lol🙃

Re: Red's scar?

currently re-watching Dembe Zuma.  Good, long shot of Red looking sideways at Liz in the car.
No scar!

Re: Red's scar?

I am thinking some more about the scar.  In a strange sort of way it kind of points to the imposter theory.

Kaplan may be remembering the "real" Red, which our Red is not.  maybe not.  But I do not think katarina had a scar. At least not what I saw

Re: Red's scar?

rewatching Philomena,  The scar appears when Red is playing back the recorded tapes of Kaplan's voice in the motel.  Its hard to tell, but it doesn't look like he has the scar earlier in the scene.  Only after he starts playing back the tapes.

Re: Red's scar?

Well he must have recently cut himself pretty badly while shaving because there is no scar that I have found looking back in each season.

TPTB cannot pull that kind of a fast one especially to those on this board and expect it to go over too well.....

Re: Red's scar?

How horrible would we all feel if James Spader needed stitches in RL? I doubt the poor fellow can switch toothpaste brands without one of us noticing a change in how white his teeth are LOL

This can be easily a  scar after some plastic surgery, sometimes people wanna get rid of their double chin .. I saw something like this at http://celebritysurgeryrumor.com/joyce-meyer-plastic-surgery/ , but I am not an expert for sure ..
