Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Solomon inherited the "Orator Role" from Raymond Reddington!

Wow! Loved the ending and really set it up for another season or integrating into TBL. Music should have been a little lower though was hard to hear what they were saying. Also, that preview for TBL...Kaplan calling Red!!! Whaaaat!!!

Patter - well Red did seem totally shocked!  So he didn't know she was alive before.

I still wonder if kate is working with/for someone else....

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

The real tell occurred when the show-runners hired Terry O'Quinn - who can play like no other the endearing man, the family man, the hurt man, the marred man - shielding the hearts & brains of A MONSTER.

Tom got played big-time! Nice to know Maya Angelou's Gumshoe Agency (Nez & Matty) are still out there. Imagine if Kat hadn't been able to make her way over to Tom's place???

In the end it was Scottie's weakness for younger muscle-men that put her in peril.

ITS HOWARD POWER BABY!!!

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Well that was fun!!!

Absolutely must re-watch. Loved the Moby Dick references and then Solomon's oratory.  Truly in keeping with The Blacklist's theme of who's right, who's wrong, maybe the bad guy wears a white hat, who's playing whom, etc.

All of them could feature in future Blacklist episodes if it ends up being renewed.

What I found the most interesting was that Whitehall was in on it with Howard. That surprised me. Brilliant scientists are always 'purists' and only have the best of intentions, so Whitehall really surprised me at the end!

"Hello Raymond" Oh my! That would be quite a wake up call!

BBB - yeah, howard the slightly out of touch slightly mad scientist, mild and meek mannered disguise!
Tom was totally played.

Makes me wonder, was the son thing a total act also and was howard totally using him?

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

We might need Scotty after all. But she sure succumbed meekly this go-round - Howard had her checked, mated (w/ Commander Trevor) and check-mated.

While she was valiant to the end - Kat gets the Liz Keen award for being oblivious to the goings on. Both she and Scotty Too Hotty succumbed to the power of 5 letter P..... but Scotty walking in on the bad guy - that's abysmally stupid! Even Liz woulda brought Aram for back-up!

HOWARD POWER hahahaha! I agree they cast the right person for his role. I still don't by that Scottie is all that innocent, she still hasn't rushed to Tom and expresses her love and pain a mother would have gone thru. She still appears disconnected and focused on everything but her son.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Loved this episode! And clearly I would suck as a profiler since I misjudged Dad & Whitehall. And Boytoy working for Dad. And Kat violently killing Boytoy. Oh and that Solomon wasn't an evil mastermind pitting Dad and Mom against each other.

Mr. Kaplan would not be happy with the mess caused by the ice pick vs. candlestick bout.

Re: Redemption: Episode 1.08: Whitehall Conclusion Discussion

Lol great comments about Tom's parents. Imagine everyone at Agnes birthday party next week. All wearing tiaras for the PRINCESS party.

Wonder if Red will wear his tiara atop a fedora... as he looks at Tom and says "I told you so!"
