Megan on TV Guide Magazine today

Megan said the episode coming back (16) will be two hours, and episode 17 is Kaplan's origin story. And she says that script is the best one she's ever seen!!! With reveals coming on how she got the name Mr. Kaplan, how she met Red, and how she first met Liz. Lots more good stuff, but those are things I got excited about.

I think Blacklist gets granted a near-full S5 - perhaps not a full 22 - perhaps 15 to 17
Main reason - despite dwindling ratings its still superior to most of the trash on network TV; even better than some of the stuff on Showtime & HBO
Good writers and premises harder and harder to find - keep TBL running - even if they have to push it to Friday or Saturday nites!

So Megan says that we get to learn the connection between Kaplan and Red, and Kaplan and Liz, and that we will be surprised.
So many of us had so many different ideas on this - it will be really interesting to find out if we were anywhere near close to the mark! LOL

p.s. I still think Red and Kate are somehow related. Maybe not by blood, but some sort of family.

I am glad that they are giving us a Kaplan episode, as they did with Dembe earlier on. Why Kaplan has been so loyal. Did Red save her and her family at some point.
We may also get a clue re Red - for example if it turns out that Kaplan is ex-Navy, ex-Spy, or just a former grifter! Not saying she is any of these but her origins and how she first connected with Red may tell us something more about him. Super excited!
