Thanks for sharing this Lara1. More food for thought. Even if Dembe actually tried to kill Red, I still don't think he would have allowed all the collateral damage/death we've seen in recent episodes.
Under what circumstances would Dembe kill Red, though? Dembe protested when Red killed the millionaire in Mombassa Cartel (forget his name), despite the man being indirectly responsible for Dembe's family's death. I don't even think Dembe would kill Red as a mercy killing.
What's disturbing is not the possibility that Dembe would attempt to kill Red, but that Dembe left Red to find answers instead of staying with Red and confiding that he'd been framed. Red would believe anything Dembe told him.
Or was Dembe so freaked out by something Red did that he left to figure out what to do next? Dembe went to Liz and she was useless. Tonight the only person who seemed truly concerned for Red's well-being as a human, was Aram. Aram commented something like, no that's no possible, sounding like he was in denial about Red's potential demise. And he bought Red a get-well-soon gift (which I was hoping he would!). In Redemption, Liz told Tom that Red was lucky to be alive, but it sounded almost gossipy, not heartfelt. The most Liz did was offer Red a chair but she never actually got one for him. She could have accompanied Red during tonight's episode, but again, let him fend for himself. She seems so apathetic. I was hoping tonight's near death episode would have brought out more compassion from Liz for Red, but no luck :-(
Poor Red!

Colleen - I just added some comments on the other thread, but you make a good point, I was actually hoping for more of a reaction from LIz. Compared to when he was shot, her reaction was tepid. She didn't seem that concerned, until maybe at the very end.
